The American Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) member GAF Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire FT Synthetics, a company headquartered in Langley, British Columbia, Canada, which is a manufacturer of synthetic cushions for steep slope roofs.
GAF CEO Jim Schnepper said: “For a long time, FT Synthetics and GAF have been committed to the development and progress of the roof industry. Through this acquisition, GAF will expand its product supply range while pursuing the common goal of continuous innovation by both parties. Further support the construction and development of its entire building envelope system.”
FT Synthetics will continue to operate as an independent business within the GAF portfolio. It is reported that Gary Sandhar, CEO of FT Synthetics, will hold a senior management position within GAF.
The acquisition project is expected to be completed later this year.
